Wilson’s Wave Founder Returns to Camp KIDDS
We are thrilled to announce that Wilson’s Wave Founder, Betsy Moore, will be speaking once again at Camp KIDDS, hosted by the Rolesville Police Department, on Tuesday, June 24, 2025. This marks the second year in a row that Betsy has been invited to speak at this inspiring camp.
Camp KIDDS, which stands for Kindness, Integrity, Decisions, Duty, and Service, is a free, week-long summer camp for middle school students in the Rolesville area. It runs this year from Monday, June 23, to Friday, June 27, and is designed to empower youth with positive values, smart decision-making skills, and meaningful connections to their community.
Organized and led by Rolesville police officers, Camp KIDDS offers students a chance to interact with law enforcement in a positive, welcoming environment. Each day blends educational sessions with interactive activities, covering topics like substance abuse prevention, anti-bullying, and the power of service. With support from local organizations such as MADD, DARE, and community sponsors, the camp has become a trusted summer tradition for families in the area.
Betsy Moore’s message at Camp KIDDS reflects the very heart of Wilson’s Wave: small actions can spark big change. Her engaging talk invites students to think critically about the impact they have on others and how choosing kindness, even in small ways, can create ripples that touch countless lives. She shares real stories of personal resilience, courage, and the ways young people can stand up for what's right even in the face of peer pressure or difficult situations.
Last year, Betsy’s talk left a lasting impression on the students, and this year promises to be just as impactful. She believes deeply in the power of middle schoolers to lead with empathy, and Camp KIDDS offers a unique platform for that message to take root.
Wilson’s Wave is proud to partner with organizations like the Rolesville Police Department that are committed to building up the next generation with integrity and compassion. Events like Camp KIDDS are not only fun and educational—they’re life-shaping.
We’re so excited to see what this year brings and are deeply grateful to the Camp KIDDS team for welcoming Betsy back for a second year.
